The clickers

The Clickers is a quiz show with a touch of performing arts.
Here, the audience is invited to guess and discuss facts about immigration in Norway through certain, uncertain and slightly certain claims.

The performance uses the quiz program Kahoot. The audience participates in the quiz on their own mobile phones. The clickers reveal how what we believe to be facts is often based on political views and pure assumptions. The answer options are designed to challenge stereotypes: both immigrant-critical and immigrant-friendly viewpoints are questioned in a casual and humorous way.

The Clickers demonstrates Ferske Scener's ability to combine socially relevant themes with audience-participatory formats. The performance expands the understanding of what performing arts can be – as a meeting place, a space for conversation and a shared experience.

RECEPTION

Harstad Tidende gave the performance a 5 and wrote, among other things:

"…the form, the genre, the technique and the participation work. The concept is completely Norwegian-ironic-prejudice-erasing-surprising-funny."
