Requiem for a Pig
Requiem for a Pig is a dark, playful and existential fable about what it means to be human – and what happens when a human wants to transform into something completely different.
In the center stands Stallen, an animal hotel where guests can check in and become their favorite animal.
This is where Kjetil, Randi and Geir come from – people who carry grief, the need to escape or relationships they couldn't stand. Ruth leads the Stable, this borderland between the animal and the human.
Requiem for a Pig is characterized as a poetic, absurd and painful story about what we do when life becomes too much, and language is the only thing that keeps us stuck in our humanity.
Requiem for a Pig was shown in three versions
– The documentary, an installation run the audience could move through at their own pace
– The listening game, an improvised, aural exploration where all role divisions were abolished
– The play, where the audience is invited into Ruth's stable
