Ordinary twilight is a meeting between cartoonist Elin Fagertun, actor Bernt Bjørn and the short texts of Ron Røstad.
The starting point is a series of short texts, small monologues conceived by the main character Emil. Emil is the first generation of a new family: the sons of the fathers from Northern Troms, these sons who grew up in the city and gained a sense of the useless, the dreamy and the beautiful, to the disappointment and confusion of their fathers.
Ordinary twilight is the brightest time of day during the dark hours. The strange thing is that the hour of twilight is so ordinary, a discovery the monologue's narrator Emil makes when he returns home to Tromsø after many years in Oslo.
First screening for the public: May 3, 2019 at Vårscenefest/Scenetekstivalen.
Background
Ordinary Twilight is the result of a collaboration between Ordkalotten and Scenetekstivalen. In September 2018, three Tromsø authors, six actors and a dramaturge met to explore the scenic possibilities of the authors' texts. The meeting between the short texts of Ron Røstad and actor Bernt Bjørn is the starting point for Ordinary Twilight.
Supported by
Ordinary Twilight is supported by the Arts Council of Norway (pre-project scheme) and the House of Drama.
