STATEMENTS
"The target audience is youth, but as an adult audience, I feel that it speaks equally to my generation and time, which is a clear strength in both the script, direction and performance."
Ragnhild Freng Dale, Periskop.no
Rimfrost Productions and Ferske Scener take the audience to the Kingdom of Heaven in a sci-fi reading.
The text is performed as live radio theatre. Actors and a percussionist create images through music, voices and sound effects.
We find ourselves trapped in a container. We don't know where, we don't know when, and we don't know if we'll ever get out of here.
Inside the cramped box we meet the boy Himmel. And his mother, father and grandfather. At the same time we learn that they have been here for a long time. Longer than Himmel can remember. How long is that really? The only contact with the outside world is the food that comes through the shaft. The same menu – at set times every day. And the light is red. Because the reality outside is dangerous. Only within the metal walls are we safe. So they say. But are we really? Because what happens when one day comes knocking?
