A stage text about friendship

"Come Closer to Humanity" takes you to the cemetery, Rema and the room. Two narrators share their thoughts on death, relationships, everyday chaos, belonging and loneliness. Perhaps finding the right friend can be just as important as finding the right lover?

How close can one get to another, when is the limit reached, when do we reach each other's "Inner Gate"? In "Come Closer to Humanity" polyphony is used as an approach and method. The dynamic between the two narrative voices that speak to each other, and past each other, is central.

The reading is the culmination of a year-long collaboration between the authors and Ferske Scener/Scenetextivalen.

After the reading, the authors and dramaturg Kristin Bjørn will discuss their experiences along the way, in the meeting between the fields of fiction and the performing arts. What does it add to the text that it was not written in solitude, but in a jumble of impulses and whims, from outside and inside?
