A potato on the run from becoming mashed potatoes and a couple who have lost their child meet. Living with grief, or being afraid, is experienced the same whether you are a child or an adult. Sometimes adults have a better language to convey such feelings, but not always. The theater experience provides some keys to talking about the topic in a way that both children and adults understand.
A performance about the encounter between a desperate potato on the run from a mashed potato factory and a married couple stuck in grief after the loss of their daughter Lela. "Potatoes Have No Wings" is a simple story about how difficult it can be to move on. It is a story about the joy that comes when grief finally lets go.
The performance is for children and adults. The form is a mixture of puppet theater and acrobatic acting.
The script was developed in collaboration with Ferske Scener.
