“It happened that Strømmer thought that life was better before Tea was born. It was not meant to be fulfilled”
Strømmer is about single father Finn Strømmer, played by Bernt Bjørn, and his daughter, Tea (7), who suddenly and inexplicably disappears. Strømmer is both a crime mystery and an existential reflection on what playwright Tale Næss calls “absence in presence”. Finn Strømmer dreams of a life with good friends and a happy and joyful Tea. But he is unable to be present. He slips away, finds himself more in his own head than in the company of those he wants to be close to.
With ten actors on stage, five of them children, this is the largest venture for Ferske Scener to date.
The performance presented playwright Tale Næss for the first time to a northern Norwegian audience. She joined the ranks of leading contemporary playwrights who received their first production in the north by the company: Jon Fosse, Harold Pinter, Arne Lygre and Kristin Auestad Danielsen are other playwrights.
